MARAM, meaning ‘aspiration’ in old-arabic, was launched in 2014 by the Egyptian designer Maram Aboul Enein. After moving to Paris at the age of 17, Maram graduated from the prestigious Parsons Paris and trained under legendary names such as Pierre Balmain, Zac Posen and Oscar De La Renta, before deciding to launch her own label.

By 2012, Maram received the ‘Sophie Hallette Lace Award’ in Paris, won American Retro’s 10th Anniversary design competition, and caught the eyes of fashion giants with her daring yet dreamy collections on the annual Parsons Paris runway show. Maram’s collections appeared in various cutting-edge Parisian magazines and blogs, including a dedicated editorial and cover shoot in the February 2014 issue of ‘Fashion World’ magazine.

Maram’s inspirations lie in the unknown, the forbidden and the abandoned. Constantly delving into mythical worlds found in theoretical research, Maram’s rare approach creates a compelling story behind each piece and collection.

MARAM’s collections are defined as an intricate merge of various traditional craftsmanship techniques with unconventional design. The careful fusion of opulent furs, leather quilting, embroidery and intricately panelled construction define the brand’s statement looks.

The MARAM woman is daring, refined and dignified.
